Explain Legal is a Chrome extension that simplifies and explains complex legal or contractual text directly in your browser.
1. Data Collection
Explain Legal does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
All processing happens locally or through secure API calls when the user manually activates the extension. No text, personal information, or browsing data is retained after use.
2. Permissions
Explain Legal only requests minimal permissions (contextMenus, activeTab, tabs, storage) to enable its single function: simplifying selected text. These permissions do not allow background tracking or data collection.
3. Third Parties
Explain Legal does not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties.
4. Security
If the extension communicates with an API for text analysis, the transmission is encrypted and not stored.
