How Explain Legal Works

  1. Highlight any contract text (e.g., a clause, paragraph, or full document).

  2. Right-click → Ask Jargon

  3. A new tab opens showing:

    Simple Explanation

    Key Risks / Red Flags

    Questions to Ask

    Risk Score


Jargon supports contracts such as:

How to Test the Extension (for Reviewers & Users)

You can test Jargon on any publicly available legal text. Here are examples:


Steps:

  1. Select 3–5 sentences or a paragraph.

  2. Right-click → Ask Jargon.

  3. A tab opens with the simplified contract summary.

If nothing happens, ensure you highlight text before right-clicking.
